I just finished this amazing book. This book takes place at the turn of the century in Mobile and New Orleans. The author took great pains to make this make this book historical correct as possible in keeping with the events and culture of the day, giving you a realistic sense of the time. I was immediately capitivated by the characters as their lives intertwine throughout the book. The reader truly experience joy and sorrow, love and hate, human tragedy and triumph. This is a must read for you. You will not be disappointed. This is one of the best novels that I have ever read. I absolutely could not put it down. Volume 2 is to set to be released in the fall.
